Mr. Joseph Ceu Uk earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Chin Christian University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Kalay University in Myanmar. He also earned a Bachelor of Divinity from India in 2018. Following that, he became involved in social and cultural conservation through his original village organization, which pushed him to see the need of climate change and environmental preservation in his local areas as the foundation stage. He is also actively involved in research on land loss and the environmental issue in Chin state, which was hit by Cyclone Komen in 2015. He has extensive research expertise, particularly in environmental issues and the impact of climate change on farmer livelihoods, as well as the food insecurity that farmers and the entire community face. Mr. Joseph Ceu Uk is pursuing his master's degree at Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Social Science - International Program. His research focuses on "Farmer Perception and Adaptation to Climate Change Impact in Hakha Township, Chin State, Myanmar". He has years of experience conducting environmental and climate change research.
