Professor Belan B.D. Chief of Aircraft-Laboratory and Head of Laboratory V.E. Zuev Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS. 1996-2007: professor of meteorology and climatology at Tomsk State University. Research interests: Investigation of long-term change and disperse the chemical composition of atmospheric aerosols, greenhouse gas concentrations in the surface layer, and their vertical distribution in the troposphere. Study of regularities of formation and transformation of fields of impurities in the atmosphere of large industrial centers, and individual regions. Identifying the role of synoptic processes in the composition of air and its optical characteristics. Analysis of characteristics and regional air circulation. Airborne sounding. Making up and following up of research Programs on the long-term variation of the air composition and of the optical properties of the atmosphere. Under its management 4 airborne laboratories are created: Ilushin-14 (1984), Antonov-30 (1989), Tupolev-134 (2010) and Yakovlev-40 (2017). Airborne laboratory equipped with the unique system of contact and remote sensors. During many years this airborn laboratory is used systematically both for a comprehensive study of the atmosphere and for ecological monitoring. The author more than 300 reviewed articles, 9 monographs, 4 books for education, 24 patents.
